Starting a task from a project discussion

How to start a task from a project discussion on your Conformio account

Step 1 – Accessing project Discussions section

To start a task from a project discussion, please access the project with the discussion to be turned into a task and navigate to the Discussions tab.

Step 2 – Using the ‘Make a Task from it’ option from the Discussions tab

Once you are on the project Discussions tab, you can use the “Make a Task from it” option to turn the main message in the thread into an actionable task.

Step 3 – Defining a task from a discussion

Once you open a new task submission form, you can define the following task details:

1. Task title
2. Task description
3. Project
4. Owner
5. Reviewer
6. Due date
7. Tags

Don’t forget to click “Save” when you are finished defining the task. The system will notify the task owner that a new task is awaiting attention.

Step 4 – Locating a submitted task

If you submitted the task and delegated yourself as the owner, you can find it in your My Tasks section. Otherwise, if the owner is one of your team members, the task will be visible on their My Tasks section or in the project’s Tasks section if you defined a project during the task submission.
